Terms & Conditions: Video Submission and Ownership Rights

Welcome to the Wild Africa Sightings creator community! By sharing your amazing wildlife videos with us, you’re joining an exciting adventure to showcase your talent and earn rewards. These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) explain your rights, responsibilities, and how we’ll work together to make your videos shine. Please read them carefully before submitting your video.

1. Video Submission

Let’s get your video ready for the spotlight! Here’s what you need to know:

  • Your Ownership: You confirm that you own the video or have all necessary permissions, licenses, or releases from anyone featured in or contributing to it (e.g., music, images). 

  • Our Rights: By submitting your video, you grant Wild Africa Sightings a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, publicly perform, and display your video on our platforms (e.g., www.wildafricasightings.com, YouTube, social media) and with third parties for promotion or monetization. 

  • Your Copyright: You retain full copyright ownership of your video. We’re just borrowing it to share with the world! 

2. Ownership Rights and Revenue Split

Your video could be a cash cow! Here’s how we share the rewards:

  • Our Role: Wild Africa Sightings has the right to post and use your video across various platforms, including partnerships with third parties (e.g., YouTube, advertisers).

  • Your Earnings: You’ll earn a solid 40% of the net revenue generated by your video (after deductions like taxes, transaction fees, or third-party costs). 

  • Net Revenue Defined: “Net revenue” means the money left after we subtract any applicable fees (e.g., platform fees, taxes, or ad network charges). We’ll provide a breakdown of earnings in your creator dashboard (if available) or upon request.

  • Payment Process: Earnings are processed per our payment schedule (details available upon submission). You may need to provide payment details (e.g., PayPal or bank info) to receive your share.

3. Content Guidelines

We want your videos to be wild but appropriate!  Follow these rules:

  • No Infringement: Your video must not violate anyone’s rights (e.g., copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity). Ensure you have permission for all content, like music or footage. 

  • Keep It Clean: No offensive, defamatory, obscene, or illegal content allowed. Let’s keep it family-friendly and respectful!

  • Our Review: We reserve the right to reject or remove any video that doesn’t meet our guidelines or is deemed inappropriate at our sole discretion. We’ll let you know if there’s an issu

4. Indemnification

You’ve got our back, and we’ve got yours! 

  • You agree to indemnify and hold Wild Africa Sightings harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (e.g., legal fees) arising from the use, distribution, or display of your video, including any intellectual property disputes or breaches of this Agreement.

5. Release

We’re partners in this adventure, so let’s keep it smooth:

  • You release Wild Africa Sightings from liability for any claims or damages related to the use, distribution, or display of your video, including claims about defamation, privacy, or publicity rights.

6. Modification and Termination

Things change, and we’ll keep you in the loop:

  • Updates: We may modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be posted on www.wildafricasightings.com, and we’ll notify you via email or our platform (if applicable).

  • Video Removal: You can request removal of your video by emailing Hello@wildafricasightings.com. We’ll aim to remove it within 30 days, but note that copies shared with third parties (e.g., YouTube) may remain online.

  • Termination: We may terminate this Agreement at our discretion, with notice where possible.

Quick FAQ for Creators

  • How do I get paid? After your video generates revenue, we’ll process your 40% share per our payment schedule. 

  • What videos are accepted? Wildlife-themed, original content that follows our guidelines. Think epic animal moments, not copyrighted clips!

  • Can I remove my video? Yes, email us at Hello@wildafricasightings.com. We’ll do our best to remove it promptly, but third-party copies may persist.

  • What’s net revenue? The money left after platform fees, taxes, or other costs are deducted from total earnings.
